Description

Maximum length: males 2.5 m; females 2.0 m

Maximum weight: These bears exhibit sexual dimorphism as males reach 800 kg, while females are half the size, reaching only 300 kg. Cubs weigh 0.6 kg at birth.

• slender compared to brown and grizzly bears

Colour:

• white, but depending on lighting may appear yellow, light brown or light grey
