Comments:
Thinking back, I didn't exactly choose my career, it chose me. However, I very early on became a willing partner and haven't regretted it ever since. It does make demands on you from time to time, you may have to be away from home and family and the ocean can be unfriendly now and then, but the comradeship of your colleagues and coworkers makes up for it.
