Brief synopsis of current research:
My present research focusses upon climate variability and the its effects on fish stocks. This includes descriptions of the ocean climate (temperature and salinity, density, currents, mixing, stratification, etc.) and the mechanisms that control their variations. Also, I am researching the linkages between these environmental fluctuations and the changes to various fish and shellfish species. The latter includes distributional shifts, differences in growth patterns, changes in reproduction and affects on survival of both young and adult fish.
